DUBLIN Airport has revealed how a new food staple can be found in the terminal, but fans are divided.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Dublin Airport made the announcement – but people seemed to be divided.
They tweeted: “Boarding Pass, Passport, & A Chicken Fillet Roll”.
This is accompanied by a video of a Dublin Airport worker posing as a passenger walking through the terminal ready to catch his flight.
The team included many screenshots of people asking for chicken fillet rolls to be available in the airport.
The man continues walking to walk until he reaches Wrights of Howth Newsagents, pointing to the sign overhead.
He then walks straight up to a deli and asks: “Hi, can I get a chicken fillet roll please?”
The deli worker asks if he wants plain or spicy, to which he confirms spicy.
He chooses fillings including cheese, lettuce and tomato, before the video shows the worker wrapping it up.
Holding the chicken fillet roll, he said: “Good stuff, thank you very much”.
Speaking to the camera, he said: “And that’s how you get a chicken fillet roll in the airport. Next time you’re travelling get stuck in”.
In a caption inserted into the video, Dublin Airport said: “Chicken fillet roll, available at Wrights of Howth”.
They added that it can be found in Terminal One, after security.
Viewers took to the replies with a range of responses, with many divided over the news.
One person said: “Now tell us the actual price of it, is it €9, €12, €15 or €18 because that’s the average for something to eat in the airport.”
Dublin Airport replied to this and said: “Way off”.
‘DON’T BE SILLY’
Someone else said: “Probably €15 for it bcoz a sandwich cost me €7 in it last month”.
Dublin Airport replied to this and said: “Don’t be silly”.
Another person said: “That will be €10 please”.
Dublin Airport replied and said: “It’s a chicken fillet roll, not Darwin Nunez… no need to be over-paying”.
Similarly, the team replied to someone that said “Yours for only €34.99” by saying: “Calm down Jamie, this ain’t Man City… financial fair play means something to us”.
Another person in the comments asked for a second smoking area to be put into the airport.
