Rossbeigh Beach is located just 1.6 kilometres outside the quaint village of Glenbeigh on the iconic Ring of Kerry.
The sandy spot is over 11 kilometres long and is the perfect place to spend a day in the West of Ireland.
And the beach is a regular winner of the coveted Blue Flag award for cleanliness and environmental standards.
The gorgeous beach is easy enough to get to, and luckily has a large car park to unload all your beach day needs.
Pack up a picnic, swimming gear, and even water sports essentials, and head to Rossbeigh strand.
The beach has the clear water typical of Ireland’s west coast, and is safe to swim for those willing to brave the chill.
Unlike some beaches, the water at Rossbeigh does not have a steep drop, making it a safe place to swim.
And there’s a lifeguard on duty in the summer months for extra protection.

But Rossbeigh Beach isn’t all sand and waves – the area is fully decked out with and tennis courts and a playground for little ones.
The Tír Na nÓg playground is a soft floored play area with plenty of activities to keep tots entertained.
The playground features flat swings, cradle swings, and a basket swing, as well as two rockers on springs.
It also has a slide, climbing frame, a spinning roundabout and a climbing net.
The playground is located right next to a picnic area where parents can keep a close eye on their little ones.
The spot features stunning views of the beach and surrounding green countryside, and is the ideal spot to refresh after a swim.
For sport lovers, the area also has a basketball court and a tennis court.
The pitches are easily accessible and a great way to warm up after a chilly swim, or to work up a pre-picnic appetite.
The surrounding Glenbeigh area has much to offer holidaymakers who want to explore the Ring of Kerry.
The Rossebigh hill loop walk is a stunning 10 kilometre walk that offers breathtaking views of Kerry.
The hike begins at the end of the beach and joins up with the long-distance Kerry way.
But fans of a shorter walks shouldn’t be intimated – the full walk can be completed in 4.5 hours, or hikers can choose to turn back early.
History fans will love the area’s Kerry Bog Village Museum, which offers a peek into Irish life in the 1800s.
The tiny thatched cottages are a glimpse into the past, and visitors can see gorgeous Kerry bog ponies and Irish wolfhounds.
For those looking for a spot in the area to grab a pint or a bite to eat, Glenbiegh town is the perfect place.
The village is a popular spot for tourism with its idyllic cottages and cosy pubs.
It also provides gorgeous views of the Dingle mountains and woodland.
For a real treat, visitors of the area should head into Dingle town, where there are plenty of activities.
One of the most famous attractions in Kerry is Murphy’s of Dingle, a delicious ice cream company that’s tasty no matter the weather.
