The frightening experience will be open to the public from October 4 to November 1, with Village of Fear XV – a brand new, spine-chilling experience packed with fun, fear and thrills.
This years’ experience features five terrifying new scare mazes, interactive secret rooms to uncover, an expanded Museum of Horrors, a food court and more immersive entertainment in their onsite festival village, Halloween Town, from tarot reading to temporary tattoos.
The Village of Fear XV is all about the dwellers of a mischievous village that has sprung up in the centre of Dublin.
The inhabitants of the village are less than friendly, and every building has an eerie sense that it could be haunted and perhaps hold deep dark secrets. You can explore the village in multiple ways, there are many hidden side quests and interlocking storylines but it’s up to you to find them.
Dancer Adam Fogarty, who has worked with the Black-Eyed Peas, Emma Bunton and Rita Ora, as well as featured in the Disenchanted movie and the Barbie movie.
But the superstar traded the life of glitz and glam for gruesome horror last night when he was placed in a small room which tilted backwards. He realised he was attending his own funeral as the space turned into a coffin being lowered into the ground whilst sounds of a priest praying rang in his ears.
“The biggest mental challenge is the coffin, it was wild. Keep your wits about you when you’re walking around because you’re never safe,” he told the Irish Independent.
“Even walking around to the different attractions, people will jump out, even now, I don’t feel safe.”
Fellow dancer, Paul Tyrell traded his hip hop moves and decided to shake with fear instead.
“The maze is scary, but I think the scariest thing is the coffin. When I was pushing on the door and it didn’t open, I was like f**k. I had to stay in it for the whole time,” he said.
Geovanni Pinheiro, who also visited the venue for a spooky experience, had no fear and was excited for the evening.
“The entrance is very nice. There’s this museum and it brings back everything we’ve seen in the films. So, we’re starting to get scared here. I think the mazes are the main attraction,” he added.
