THIS season could be the season that we get the first-ever clash of the Irish in the NFL as the International fixtures for the upcoming season have been released.

Former Derry U20 star Jude McAtamney, who recently signed with the New York Giants, has been selected to play against the Carolina Panthers in Munich this November.

This comes after news emerged late last week that Rory Beggan would be trying out with the Panthers, hoping to sign a contract with the NFC South side.

This game will be held in week 10 of the season, with the game being played on November 10.

Across the water in London, another team with Irish links will be making the trip across the pond for a game.

The New York Jets, who have just signed a deal similar in nature to that of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will play the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur stadium in week five, on October 6.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who have a long-standing relationship with the UK and Ireland NFL markets, will play their usual two games in London, one at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and one at Wembley.

The Jags will play the Chicago Bears, who are coming off the back of a successful NFL draft, in which they selected Caleb Williams as their new franchise quarterback with the first overall pick.

That game will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London in week six, on October 13.

Another first-round draft pick quarterback will face the Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in the shape of Drake Maye and the New England Patriots in week seven, on October 20.

The first international game of the season will be on Friday September 6, which happens to be the first week of the season, with the Green Bay Packers against the Philadelphia Eagles, in the Corinthians Arena in Brazil, the first game to be held in South America.
