The top-ranked female in the world, 22-year-old Fem van Empel has already been world U-23 and elite champion and she has been on the podium in four of the seven races she has tackled this season, including winning yesterday’s opening World Cup round in Antwerp. That made it three victories in a row after success at Koppenbergcross and the European championships. The Dutch woman will be looking to carry that rich vein of form into Dublin and towards the world championships in January.
