A number of companies will share updates this week.

Ryanair will share results for the first quarter of its financial year today. This period includes the three months to the end of June.

The carrier reported a profit after tax of €1.92bn in the year to the end of March this year, up 34pc from the prior year.

Permanent TSB will also share an update this week. The bank will publish its results for the second quarter of 2024 on Wednesday.

On Thursday, retail property firm Hammerson is set to share its results for the second quarter. The company operates a number of flagship retail centres in Ireland, France and the UK.

It co-owns Dundrum Town Centre with German insurer Allianz. The group also owns half of the Pavilions shopping centre in Swords and the Ilac Centre in Dublin city centre.

Ballgowan owner Britvic will publish Q2 results on Thursday. The UK-headquartered firm was acquired by Danish drinks giant Carlsberg earlier this month.

Irish Stock Exchange owner Euronext will publish its second quarter results on Thursday.

Howden Joinery Group is set to publish its second quarter results ­tomorrow.

The London-listed kitchen supplier announced plans earlier this year to add five new depots in Ireland. This would bring the total number here to 15.

The National Competitiveness and Productivity Council will launch its annual report on Wednesday. It is set to focus on Ireland’s competitiveness challenge.

The Farnborough International Airshow will take place this week. The UK trade exhibition will showcase both civilian and military aircraft to a global audience.

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) will publish the wholesale price index on Wednesday. This report will share an update on wholesale electricity prices, which are the prices utility firms pay electricity generators for power.

The CSO is set to provide some insights on new dwelling completions in April, May and June on Thursday.
