Dublin Bus passengers can expect significant changes next month, with 13 new routes being introduced as part of wider BusConnects scheme.

New 24-hour routes and express services will begin from December 8. The E1 and E2 routes will now provide continuous access across major areas, including Bray, the city centre, Ballymun and Santry.

Route 19 is another significant new addition, running directly from the heart of the city centre to Dublin Airport.

The addition of Local (L) and Express (X) routes ensures residents in areas like Greystones, Newcastle and Blackrock can better connect to the city and nearby stations, without requiring multiple changes.

Major changes to routes 4, 11, and 13 are also on the way.

The following services will cease operation from Sunday, December 8: 46a, 46e, 63, 63a, 84, 84a, 84x, 143, 144, 145, 155, 184, and 185.

The following routes will see changes from December 8:

  • Route 4 from Monkstown will be diverted at O’Connell Bridge to Heuston Station.
  • Route 11 from Sandyford will be diverted at Parnell Square to run via Phibsborough and the North Circular Road to Phoenix Park.
