Olivia Rodrigo has revealed her favourite tour outfit was one she wore in Dublin thanks to an ingenious Irish language pun.
Speaking with Rolling Stone on the red carpet of her The GUTS World Tour Netflix special, the star opened up about the custom graphic tee’s she rocks at every concert, admitting the Irish one has a special place in her heart.
As part of her encore in Dublin, the 21-year-old walked out onstage in a pair of purple sequined hot pants and a tank top with the words ‘every guy I like is Gaelic’, a play on words referencing a line from her song ‘ballad of a homeschooled girl’, where she sings ‘every guy I like is gay’.
Speaking about the iconic garment, Oliva revealed it was a firm favourite on tour.
‘My favourite shirt that we ever did was in Ireland. We had a shirt that said ‘every guy I like is Gaelic, and I thought that was really clever, I was very proud of that one.’
Fans of the star were elated by the mention, with many Irish natives taking to the comments to share their delight.
‘DUBLIN MENTION,’ one user excitedly commented.
‘IRELAND YASS GURLLL,’ another shared.
‘IT WAS RARE I WAS THERE,’ a third added.
