Fashion designer Laura Weber has lived in an intense sporty bubble for the last three and a half years and she fully expects her heart will burst with pride on Friday night at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The Dublin-born, New York-based powerhouse has designed the uniform for the Irish Olympic team and when representatives of the national squad step out in their contemporary white blazer and trousers, to travel on a flotilla of boats down the River Seine, Weber is prepared for the tears to flow.
