Thousands of people have taken part in a protest in support of Palestine in Dublin city centre.
Those involved called for immediate sanctions against Israel and a ceasefire.
The demonstration, which is the ninth such protest since October, began at the Garden of Remembrance and headed to the Dáil.
The organisers of the protest claimed there were 25,000 people at the rally on Molesworth Street outside Leinster House.
Addressing the rally, Israel Palestine Solidarity Campaign Chairperson Zoë Lawlor said that she wants Palestine to be an issue in the upcoming general election.
She said: “Simon Harris has asked the Attorney General to review our trade agreements with Israel.
“But we don’t need reviews.”
She said it “is clear the occupation, the settlements, the genocide are illegal”.
“The international law says it. The ICJ says it. Palestinians say it and we can see it,” she said.
“We need sanctions,” she added.
Green Line Luas services were not operating for a time between St Stephen’s Green and Sandyford/Brides Glen due to the protest, and Red Line services were delayed.
In a post on X this afternoon, the Luas operator said all services were back operating as normal.
