Thousands of people gathered on Dublin’s O’Connell Street on October 31, in hope of attending a Halloween parade that would never come.
Footage filmed by X user @liam_B02 shows people lined up along O’Connell Street, waiting for the fake parade to start.
“Please be advised that contrary to information being circulated online, no Halloween parade is scheduled to take place in Dublin City Centre this evening or tonight,” the national police informed Dubliners, while asking the crowd to disperse safely.
The hoax parade had been advertised online a day prior and was supposedly scheduled to kick off at 7:00 pm local time. Credit: @liam_B02 via Storyful
