The three, aged in their 60s, 30s and 20s, were arrested over the past five days and are currently being held at Garda stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR).
Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit and Serious Crime Investigation Unit in Terenure and Sundrive Road Garda Stations arrested the three as part of ongoing investigations into drug trafficking, money laundering and drug-related intimidation.
The three men have been detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at Garda stations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR).
It follows an operation in May of this year when gardaí seized more than €250,000 in cash and four vehicles worth more than €100,000.
A total of 42 searches that included 38 private residences, three business premises and a safety deposit box were carried out over two days, on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 of May.
Gardai said at the time that while the majority of searches were undertaken in the DMR South, a number of other operations were carried out in DMR West, DMR North Central, DMR South Central, and in Co Kildare.
In total, €263,500 in cash was seized, as well as a Volkswagen Golf GTI (valued at approximately €40,000), a Mercedes CLA Estate (valued at approximately €40,000) and a Yamaha R1 sports motorcycle (valued at approximately €20,000).
A Citroen Dispatch (valued at approximately €5,000 and containing a specially made concealed compartment in the floor of the van for transporting drugs/cash/firearms) was also seized.
A total of €109,000 of suspected zopiclone tablets and €4,000 of alprazolam tablets were also discovered.
Gardai also found bank drafts for €40,000, deeds for three Spanish properties and two cash counting machines.
A number of designer watches, including Rolex and Tag Heuer, were also located during these searches and seized alongside over €50,000 of assorted designer clothing and footwear.
One man was arrested in connection with this operation.
Earlier this year, a total of 37 dwellings, businesses and vehicles were searched throughout locations in Dublin and Wicklow following “a day of action” on Thursday, February 1.
The operation was led by the Serious Crime Investigation, Drugs and Specialist Support Units of the DMR South.
They were backed up by the Dublin Crime Response Team, personnel from the Clondalkin, Blackrock, Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Wicklow Districts, the Garda Dog Unit, The Customs Canine Unit and the Armed Support Unit.
In total 44kg of cocaine seized after a vehicle was searched in Wicklow.
The drugs are estimated to be valued at €3.1 million.
A total of €353,000 was seized as part of the operation, while in excess of €280,000 was frozen in bank accounts.
Eight vehicles, estimated to be worth over €200,000 were also seized as evidence of money laundering/proceeds of crime alongside a quantity of jewellery, including designer watches, electronic devices, laptops, and smartphones.
