Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign St Patrick’s Athletic forward Mason Melia, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed Spurs are pulling out all the stops to try and agree a deal for the 17-year-old.
Melia has been invited to the club’s training base and was a matchday guest for the visit of Chelsea last week.
Tottenham are in negotiations to land the teenage sensation in a deal which could be worth €1million (£825,000).
The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international is also the subject of huge interest from other Premier League clubs – including Everton, Crystal Palace and Brighton.
Melia cannot join Tottenham until he turns 18 next September.
Spurs have done a number of similar deals, with Lucas Bergvall agreeing his move from Djurgården in February as a 17-year-old.

Melia has made 35 appearances across all competitions for St Pat’s in 2024, notching seven goals and two assists.
He made his debut for the League of Ireland Premier Division outfit at the age of just 15 years and 132 days.
The starlet, who has been prolific for Ireland at youth level, has already played 54 senior games – scoring 10 goals.
Melia featured in Uefa Conference League qualifying for St Pat’s earlier this season but the Irish club were eliminated by Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.
He is under contract in Dublin until November 2026.
