Translink has announced an additional bus special to help more Armagh fans get to the All-Ireland GAA football final against Galway in Croke Park this weekend.
The Orchard County will take on the Tribesmen in Sunday’s decider with tens of thousands of fans travelling from the north.
The public transport operator confirmed an additional bus service from Newry will now depart at 11am and return at 8pm following high demand.
Several bus and train specials have already sold out. As of 7pm on Monday just 21 seats were left on the additional service from Newry.
Declan McGinley, acting head of Rail Customer Services at Translink, encouraged people to pre-book their seats as soon as possible.
“This is a big day for Armagh fans and we have organised several special services to help more supporters get to the game on public transport,” he explained.
“Both trains and the first two bus specials quickly sold out so we have added an additional bus special from Newry today.
“We recommend that passengers pre-book their bus special to the event as soon as possible to secure a seat www.translink.co.uk/events
“Enterprise services, which have been enhanced, are also exceptionally busy that day and we recommend that people looking to travel book in advance.”
