Travel Nevada has welcomed the new Aer Lingus Dublin to Las Vegas route, which formally takes off this Friday.
Aer Lingus announced its new Dublin to Las Vegas route in May.
Operating three times weekly from 25 October 2024 until 29 April 2025, the non-stop service departs Dublin (DUB) at 15:20 (LT) on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrives into Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at 17:50 (LT) allowing plenty of time for travellers to enjoy an evening in the sports and entertainment capital of the world. The return flight, EI51, departs LAS at 19:30 and arrives back in DUB at 13:20 the following day.
Lead in fares start from €499 return in economy with the added comfort of pre-clearance US Customs and immigration before boarding. An Airbus A330-300 aircraft will be used for the route, the largest aircraft in EI’s fleet, with 30 business seats and 287 economy seats.
Nevada holds many notable connections with Ireland stemming from the 1850s where settlers flocked to the state to find their fortune in silver and gold. Within a decade of the
discovery of the Comstock Lode in 1859 – the most profitable mineral deposits in American history – roughly a third of the residents of Virginia City were Irish born or of Irish descent.
Today, Irish connections are recognised across the state, including leading arts and entertainment group – Shamrock Productions based in Reno, hosting Irish dance and music performances year-round.
