Uisce Éireann said this is its largest recruitment campaign to date and reflects the scale of activities it is carrying out nationwide.
Last year, it assumed responsibility for the management of all public water services that were previously delivered by 31 local authorities.
It said in a statement it is committed to offer attractive pay and benefits packages “to ensure a secure and fulfilling work experience” and ongoing training.
Jobs on offer will include roles in front-line operations, science and engineering, administration, communications, management and IT.
The jobs will span a “range of disciplines” and opportunities will be available for professionals, tradespeople, recent graduates and skilled workers.
The water authority is looking for tradespeople looking for employment, who want a “strong work-life balance”, skilled professionals, recent graduates seeking entry-level positions, and Irish workers overseas who may be interested in returning to Ireland.
“As we continue our development as Ireland’s national water authority with responsibility for the delivery of public water and wastewater services nationwide, we are delighted to be announcing 700 new jobs for candidates across the country,” said Dawn O’Driscoll, Uisce Éireann’s people and safety director.
“This is the largest recruitment announcement made by Uisce Éireann to date and reflects the scope and scale of the activities we are carrying out nationwide. These new positions will not only offer a chance to make a tangible difference to your community but will provide plenty of opportunities to develop your career in a growing organisation.”
She said management is looking for people with diverse skillsets to play their part in delivering transformative water services that enable their local communities to thrive.
“At Uisce Éireann, we are proud to provide all employees with equal opportunities and we continue to demonstrate our full commitment to creating an open, diverse and inclusive workplace that enables all our people to achieve their full potential,” she said.
Uisce Éireann said those who are interested should visit www.water.ie/careers to apply for opportunities in their local areas.
Previously, water services staff at the local authorities were offered the option to move over to the semi-state body. They could also opt to stay employed at the local authorities, where they would be redeployed.
The job opportunities span a range of roles from plant caretakers to engineers, office staff and management.
Among them is a drinking water compliance technical lead post in Dublin 1, and investment portfolio technical lead, a summer intern in engineering, and a leakage detection team lead with a salary ranging from €45,312 to €67,968.
A senior craftworker job is advertised, with a pay range quoted from €37,170 to €55,754 a year.
