An unaccompanied learner driver in Dublin who was illegally parked and blocking a bike lane told Gardaí ‘it’s not fair on New Year’s Eve’ after his car was seized.
The car was parked illegally on Dame Street on New Year’s Eve, parked on double yellow lines and blocking a bike lane, when reserve Gardaí seized it.
They found that the driver of the car was an unaccompanied learner driver, who hadn’t done any of the mandatory lessons needed to learn to drive — with the car being subsequently towed.
