An urgent recall has been issued for a list of household staples sold in Irish shops.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland is recalling a list of Johnston Mooney & O’Brien baked products due to the “possible presence of metal pieces”.
Products affected are sold under various brand names including Brennans, Bundys, Dunnes Stores, Aldi, Lidl, Supermacs, Burger King and Kepak.
Consumers are being warned not to eat any of the affected batches as recall notices are being displayed at point-of-sale.

“The below batches of Johnston Mooney & O’Brien products are being recalled due to the possible presence of metal pieces,” the FSAI wrote.
“Recall notices will be displayed at point-of sale in stores.”
