In New York, GAA gear is having a fashion moment and it’s all down to one man.
“I’m seeing guys in Irish football hoodies and O’Neill shorts. I’ve seen Dublin, Antrim and Donegal shirts in McCarren park in Williamsburg,” says Cahir O’Doherty, an Irish journalist in New York, who spotted the trend for Adidas Gazelles, micro shorts, mullet, a silver chain under a sports jersey or hoodie.
