A woman has been arrested after gardai seized suspected cannabis worth €100,000 in Co Dublin last night.
The drugs were discovered following the search of a home in Swords, Co Dublin on Wednesday evening.
The operation was conducted by officers from the Coolock District Drugs Unit.
A garda spokesman said the searches were conducted as “part of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the Swords area.”
“During the course of the search, suspected cannabis herb with a street value of €100,000 was seized by Gardaí. The drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI),” he said.
“One woman (aged in her 40s) was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. She has since been charged and is due to appear before court at a later date.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
