There will be no rowing on Monday at the World Rowing Championships in Ontario, Canada.
The organisers chose to cancel the entire day’s racing at St Catharines due to an adverse weather forecast.
Ireland’s Siobhán McCrohan, who is defending her world championship title in the women’s lightweight single sculls, was due to race for the first time on Monday.
Her heat will now be raced on Tuesday at 3.47pm Irish time, exactly 24 hours after the original scheduling.
She must win to qualify directly for the A/B semi-finals. Her repechage, if she needs one, would be raced on Wednesday.
Four Ireland Under-23 crews were due to race in repechages on Monday; those races are now also rescheduled to Tuesday.
