Leinster SHC round 3
Chadwicks Wexford Park: Wexford v Galway, 4.0 – GAAGO
There has perhaps never been more urgency for Wexford to record a first Leinster SHC win over Galway. Five losses and two draws since Galway’s 2009 entry is a poor record for Wexford, who have their backs to the wall after a loss in Antrim last weekend. Galway didn’t set the world alight against a weakened Kilkenny but should have enough to compound Wexford’s woes.

Munster SHC round 3
Walsh Park: Waterford v Tipperary, 6.0 – GAAGO
Crunch time for Tipperary after an abysmal show against Limerick. Waterford come in off the high of a win over Cork and have a more settled look to their team. In contrast, Tipp radiate so much uncertainty, and these are not the conditions to turn it around here. A home win would go a long way to ensuring a top-three place for Waterford.

Connacht SFC final
Pearse Stadium: Galway v Mayo, 4.0 – RTÉ2
If we were to judge it on the semi-finals, or even the first round of the league when these teams met at the same venue, there can only be one outcome. But in the last decade their championship meetings have generally been close and Damien Comer’s return to start always positions a Galway team more strongly. That said, Mayo are just moving better, led by Ryan O’Donoghue, and are taken to deny Galway a 50th title.

Munster SFC final
Cusack Park, Ennis: Clare v Kerry, 1.45 – RTÉ2
A first Munster final in Ennis since 1919 and there should be a decent atmosphere, but for how long until Kerry, who welcome back Jason Foley, move through the gears? Clare pressed hard for Division 3 promotion against the odds but even with a more experienced team 12 months ago, they were well adrift in this fixture.
